This 8 days program begins and ends at the airport in Entebbe. A safari will begin in Kibale National Park, where you will find many savannah elephants, lions, buffaloes, hippos and, if you are lucky, a leopard. In Kibale Forest, you will have the rare opportunity to observe the constantly moving and amusing chimp. In Ishasha you will be hunting for lions, which hang in clusters on fig trees, hunting for monkeys. Prepare your cameras, for instead of using guns you will be hunting with your photographic equipment. The Kazinga Channel offers the sight of large flocks of exotic birds. The main purpose of your trip is meeting with the mountain gorillas in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where the only 700 remaining individuals of the species live.

Uganda welcomes you, dear friends!

Arrive in Entebbe International Airport. After border formalities you will be met by a representative of Alpha-Zulu Africa, who will carry a sign with your last name. Transfer to the Serena hotel BB.

You will rise early and after breakfast, you will depart from the city of Kampala. You will drive till Fort Portal, where you will arrive in time for dinner. After dinner, you can also visit the Toro Kingdom, or relax in the hotel Crater Safari Lodge FB.

After breakfast you go in Kibale Forest National Park, where the largest known populations of primates in Eastern Africa live. 13 species of chimpanzees can be found here.
Uganda has the biggest population of these animals, with 1450 chimpanzees. In Kibale you can find the very rare L'Hoest monkey, as well as the black and white Colobus monkey, the blue monkey, the olive baboon and various exotic animals. Afternoon hike in Bigodi, Dinner and rest in Crater Safari Lodge FB.

A leisurely breakfast and hike on the "roof of the world", offering breathtaking scenery of several lakes, located at the bottom of the crater or in the forest thickets. Later you will go in the Queen Elizabeth National Park, located behind mystical mountain ridges, the Mountain Rwenzori Range. Rest in Mweya Safari Lodge FB.

Early departure for a safari in the Northern part of the park in search of lions, elephants, buffalos and various predators chasing a large population of the park. Here you have quite a big chance to see all the animals at a relatively close distance. On return you can enjoy a wonderful African breakfast and you will have the opportunity to relax by the pool.
After lunch you will ride in a boat along the enchanting Kazinga Channel, where you can see a group of hippos, buffalos and crocodiles. If you are lucky, you can see leopards, but they are very shy animals and go hunting mainly at night. Return for dinner, rest at Mweya Safari Lodge FB.

After breakfast transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, where you will arrive in the afternoon. Afternoon rest in the hotel or optionally, visit to a local village hardly touched by civilization. Dinner and rest in the Gorilla Forest Camp FB.

This day is most important in this program!
At 7:30, take your lunch boxes and drinking water and after a briefing, accompanied by experienced rangers, you will begin an unforgettable hike through rainforest and bamboo thickets in search of a family of mountain gorillas. Trekking can be long and hard, but when you see their long-awaited grey fur back in a blaze of sunlight, you will immediately forget about your discomfort. Your ranger guide will lead you close to the gorillas (at a distance not less than 6 metres). You will be able to sit near them and look into their big round eyes. Rest and dinner at the Gorilla Forest Camp FB.

You have a choice: a long drive to Kampala or a quick flight to Entebbe airport (surcharge). Early rise, breakfast and transfer to the Ugandan capital Kampala. with a stop on the way at the equator, to make a keepsake photos standing on the border of two hemispheres. The second stop will be at the Mpigi Royal drum manufacture, where you can see how they make the drums for ceremonies, using a method that is passed from generation to generation. You will have time to visit the gift shop and the lounge at the Boma in Entebbe airport before departure.
