Africa welcomes you, dear friends!
After border formalities you will be met by a representative of the company Alpha-Zulu, transfer to your hotel and have free time for rest. You can visit the Queen Victoria and Prince Alfred Waterfront, which is a tourist Mecca in Cape Town. There you will find a variety of cafes and restaurants, expensive shops and souvenir stalls, folk singers and dancers performing directly on the street, seals resting on the shore of the Atlantic Ocean that caresses the eyes with its blue waves...
After a delicious and hearty breakfast you will meet your guide for excursions in and around Cape Town. Table Mountain, the symbol of the city, will be the starting point of your excursion. You will go up to the mountain in the cable car (payment is made on the spot, for whether it operates depends on the weather) and from the top you will have a bird’s eye view of this unforgettable city. After that you will visit the Cape Town Castle of Good Hope, which was the first stone structure on the peninsula, and from there you will see the Grand Parade, dominated by the Town Hall building. Continuing the journey, you will visit the Company’s Gardens built at the time of Jan van Riebeeck, founder of Cape Town. You can buy peanuts to feed the squirrels, who will eat from your hand. Next to the Gardens you will see St. George’s church, famous for having the largest stained-glass windows in the Southern hemisphere. Nearby are also the Houses of Parliament and the National Gallery of art. A tour of a jewelry factory will help you understand the process of cutting of precious stones and you can touch diamonds of various sizes and learn useful information about jewelry. If you like, you can purchase jewelry at factory prices direct from the manufacturer.
Today you will relive the days of the discoverers and of the colonial conquests and you will spend the day on Cape of Good Hope, which you have heard about in school. In 1488 Portuguese navigator Bartolomeu Dias landed on the Cape and called it the Cape of Storms, because he had survived a terrible storm that nearly cost him and his crew their lives. Portuguese King João II, having great expectations for a new Eastern sea route, renamed it the Cape of Good Hope. Here tourists often look forward to seeing large families of baboons. These animals are very cute, but be careful not to feed them, for you might get hurt when they fight for their food. After passing the entrance gate your bus will follow a level road and then drive down to the famous promontory. Here you can make a souvenir photo against a panel that has the coordinates of the Cape of Good Hope. Then you can climb to the highest point of the Cape Peninsula, where you will enjoy the extraordinary beauty of the ocean and the bay. We now say goodbye to the Cape and we are on our way back. The road runs along the coast of False Bay and goes through the small town of Simon’s Town, near which the largest South African naval base and Boulders Beach are situated. On that beach you will meet the famous Cape penguins. Long ago, these wonderful animals chose this beach for hatching their offspring and now they live there year-round, delighting local and foreign tourists. You will stop for lunch (at your own expense) at a restaurant well known for its seafood recipes. Return to the hotel around 17h00-18h00
You will rise early and transfer to the airport for the flight to Johannesburg. You will be greeted by a tour guide from Alpha Zulu Africa and proceed with a short city tour. Enjoy a leisurely afternoon in Johannesburg.
Johannesburg is South Africa's largest city in South Africa, the financial capital of South Africa, a metropolis literally standing on gold. In the center of the city are the offices of the De Beers company, of AngloGold, of Anglo-American and other well-known corporations. You will also visit the district where the pioneers of the Gold Rush pitched their tents. You will feel the unique atmosphere of this modern huge city that never sleeps. We recommend that you order an additional excursion in the afternoon. After that, your guide will meet you in the lobby of the hotel for transfer to the famous Carnivore Restaurant. This restaurant is well known for the fact that they serve meat of various exotic animals on an all-you-can-eat basis.
Zambia
You will rise early and a comfortable bus will take you to meet new impressions. A 2-hour flight will bring you to Johannesburg, South Africa’s financial capital, where a connecting flight will take you to Victoria Falls. This unique ecological system is the "wonder of the world". Tons of water of the Zambezi River crash down the rocks from a height of more than 100 meters, forming clouds of misty spray. This spray is what the natives call “the clattering smoke". In 1855 the English adventurer David Livingstone discovered this wonder of the world for Europeans and named the falls in honor of Queen Victoria. After flight and border formalities, you will meet with an English-speaking company representative for a short transfer to your hotel. The cozy African atmosphere will induce you to relax. At 4:00pm you will meet in the lobby for a transfer to the river. You will have a boat cruise on the Zambezi River where, with light snacks and a glass of wine, you will enjoy an unforgettable African sunset. Dinner at the hotel restaurant.
Zimbabwe
This day commences with a guided walk to the waterfall. You will pass through a tropical "weeping" forest, which received its name due to the fact that millions of splashing water drops rise above the waterfall and, as they fall from the forest and the greenery, create the effect of constant dew, like tears falling down from the trees. The waterfall itself will amaze you with its majesty, for it is considered one of the widest waterfalls in the world. Its length is 1700 meters. After the walk, you can relax at the hotel or book additional tours.
Botswana
There are not many places on the planet that have remained untouched by man. The Chobe National Park, in Botswana is one of these. After breakfast and saying farewell to Victoria Falls, you will start your exciting journey to the Chobe National Park. You will begin your journey by car, and then by boat you will cross the borders of several countries: Zambia, Zimbabwe, Botswana and Namibia. Along the way you will see a lot of different animals that come to drink. After crossing the border of Botswana again, we will change to a car and head to the lodge at Chobe National Park.
We recommend that you book the evening safari.
You can enjoy a day filled with remarkable adventures. Morning safari by car into the thick African bush is the beginning of an unforgettable day. Here you will feel that you are away from it all and the sounds of wildlife will excite your imagination. In the silence of the forest you hear only the sound of birds, laughing hyenas, baboons and other animals. Proceed with an afternoon trip to Namibia, where you will visit an ethnic village of the Basotho tribe, which was hardly touched by civilization. After the tour, return to hotel.
We regret to have to say goodbye to the wildlife of Botswana. Check-out and transfer to the airport for flights to Johannesburg and home.
